Celebrating a legacy of curling and community - where local history meets the heart of the game

Our History

Established in the early 1970s by a passionate group of local volunteers and curling enthusiasts, the club has been a cornerstone of the community for over 50 years. Operating from October through March, our four-sheet rink offers opportunities for all ages and skill levels. We curl 7 days a week with a healthy mix of competitive and social leagues, and several yearly bonspiels!

Community Support

Backed by strong volunteer engagement and support from local community partners like Squamish Days Loggers Sports Festival and Squamish Community Foundation, we've continued to grow and improve our facilities, ensuring curling remains an affordable, accessible, and welcoming winter pastime for the entire community.

Funding Announcement

New Horizons for Seniors Program Funding

Howe Sound Curling Club is pleased to announce that we have received funding under the Government of Canada's New Horizons for Seniors Program for our clinic on stick curling, to be held October 8th.

This federal grants and contributions program supports projects that are led or inspired by seniors who are making a difference in the lives of others in their communities.

The funds will be used to fund ice rental charges and honoraria for the leaders of the clinic.

Learn More About the Program

Thank you to the Government of Canada's New Horizons for Seniors Program for the funding support provided to the Howe Sound Curling Club.

It will make a significant difference in the lives of seniors in our community. The seniors who curl in our leagues significantly benefit from both the physical exercise of curling and the socialization. As they age many seniors transition from regular curling to stick curling.

This funding will greatly help with that transition.
